Located on the lower level of The Davy in South Knoxville, the restaurant originally opened in 2025 as Mimosa's, bringing together two distinct dining experiences: an elevated breakfast and brunch destination and a lively sports bar designed for game day. In August 2026, the restaurant became Puckers Sports Grill, introducing a new concept and identity while retaining the original architectural and interior design. Working within the fixed footprint of the newly completed apartment building required careful planning around existing structural and building systems. Close coordination among the architectural, engineering, kitchen, and construction teams made room for a full commercial kitchen, central bar, varied dining areas, outdoor patios, and support spaces within the available footprint. The interiors balance a moody, intimate atmosphere with the energy of a sports bar. Warm wood, layered lighting, richly colored tile, and tailored details create a comfortable, upscale setting. At the center of the restaurant, a four-sided bar surrounded by televisions serves as a natural gathering place. A large operable window connects the bar directly to an adjoining patio, allowing service to extend outdoors. Nearby, a stage backed by a wall of televisions provides space for live music, entertainment, and game-day viewing. Flexibility was an important part of the original design. Operable sliding glass panels allow a private dining area to function independently for smaller gatherings or open fully to the main dining room. A second set of sliding doors connects the space to an outdoor patio, creating opportunities for larger events and indoor-outdoor dining. Outside, a spacious patio offers a mix of lounge and dining seating, firepits, televisions, and areas for games. Together, the indoor and outdoor spaces accommodate everything from casual meals to lively football Saturdays, just across the Tennessee River from Neyland Stadium. While the restaurant's name and concept have evolved, the original design continues to support a variety of dining and gathering experiences, welcoming University of Tennessee students, fans, and the broader Knoxville community. <em>Furniture provided by Lauderdale Design Group.</em>
