JAI Vice President Eric Bowen currently serves as board president of Dogwood Arts, a non-profit organization that has promoted and celebrated the art, culture and natural beauty of our region since its inception in 1955 with the establishment of the first Dogwood Trails.
Eric began as a volunteer with Dogwood Arts in 2010 and has actively participated in a number of the organization’s programs and events during that time. For the past 10 years, he has served as a volunteer coordinator, most recently for the Southern Skies Music Festival.
Regarding his experiences, Eric stated, “My involvement in Dogwood Arts has been an important part of my life as I have treasured the ability to serve the local community and to have developed so many friendships with other volunteers and the staff of the organization. As the board president, my goals are to further advance the efforts of Dogwood Arts to promote inclusion and diversity in our programs and volunteer outreach and to continue to provide opportunities for artists and lovers of the arts, culture and natural beauty to celebrate everything that our local community has to offer.”
