Tennessee Valley Primary Care, designed by Johnson Architecture, has earned an Excellence in Construction award from the Greater Tennessee Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors.

A Merit Award was presented to Joseph Construction for the medical facility, which is located at 380 W. Broadway Blvd. in Jefferson City.

“The best structures start with great design and are brought to life by high-quality, detail-oriented contractors like Joseph Construction,” said Daryl Johnson, founder and president of Johnson Architecture. “Our team collaborated with Joseph Construction and Realty Trust Group to create a dynamic, innovative and welcoming health clinic for people in Jefferson City.”

Johnson Architecture participated in all aspects of the project, including site selection and development, programming, design and general contractor selection. Overcoming challenges due to weather and the pandemic, the project was completed in one year and delivered under budget and ahead of schedule.

The 32,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility provides 48 exam rooms, in-house laboratory and X-ray facilities, physical therapy and staff support areas. Affiliated with Summit Medical Group, the Tennessee Valley Primary Care facility was designed to function as both a medical practice by appointment and an after-hours urgent care clinic.

The Excellence in Construction Awards honor contractors, project architects, engineers and owners and recognize outstanding construction projects throughout Middle and East Tennessee.
