Private Residence Additions on the Tenn. River

Client: Withheld
Year: 1994, 2004, 2009, 2012

This 920 square-foot addition and remodel of an existing residence, was conceived in the classical style to complement the existing home. It is sited on 5.10 acres overlooking the Tennessee River with breathtaking panoramic views. The introduction of a barrel vault, opening of walls at the dining room, and a monochromatic color scheme create a sense of openness. To further enhance the site lines, the deck was terraced into a two-level entertaining space. The renovated basement includes a new exercise area, home office, media center, and game room. Johnson Architecture completed Phase II of the project in 2004 with a new kitchen, sitting area, office and garage. Phase III in 2009 added a new pool and outdoor entertaining area and Phase IV will add a new two car garage.
