Client: Dollywood
Year: Ongoing

Where do you go for family fun in the Great Smoky Mountains?  Dollywood, of course!  Johnson Architecture has been working hand-in-hand with the facility staff at this awesome destination since 2007.  JAI served as the architect of record for multiple attractions such as River Battle, located in “Timber Canyon”, where guests are taken on a raft ride armed with a water soaker gun. Passengers take aim at each other, stationary targets, as well as onlookers along their journey. The Birds of Prey exhibit renovation, and Red’s Drive-In Diner expansion and renovation were both projects that required extensive coordination to allow the facilities to operate while under construction.  Adventure Mountain became the country’s largest ropes course with more than 140 obstacles, and Camp Teachittoomee is a ropes course for the little ones.  We are grateful for our relationship with one of this area’s most visited destinations!
